Charlie Nardozzi is a nationally recognized award-winning garden writer, speaker, radio, and television personality. For more than 30 years he has brought expert gardening advice to home gardeners through radio, television, talks, on-line, and the printed page. Charlie delights in making gardening information simple, easy, fun, and accessible to everyone. He has spoken at the Northwest Flower & Garden Festival and the Philadelphia Flower Show and Master Gardener conferences. He has a master’s degree in Education and Bachelors in Horticulture. Charlie co-hosts “In the Garden” tips on the local CBS affiliate television station, a weekly, call-in radio show and the award-winning “All Things Gardening” on Vermont Public Radio. He is the host of the weekly Connecticut Garden Journal radio show on Connecticut Public. Charlie received a Regional Emmy in 2021 for his work on the Connecticut Public Television Special, “Gardening in New England with Charlie Nardozzi.” Charlie has written for national magazines such as Organic Gardening and contributed to many of the Gardening for Dummies titles, authoring Urban Gardening for Dummies (Wiley Books, 2013) and Vegetable Gardening for Dummies (IDG Books, 2009) along with three books from Cool Springs Press: Foodscaping, (2015), Gardening Complete: How to Best Grow Vegetables, Flowers and Other Outdoor Plants, (2018), and his latest book, The Complete Guide to No-Dig Gardening (Cool Springs Press, 2020). Charlie formerly hosted PBS’s Garden Smart, reaching more than 60 million households, and has been a gardening expert on HGTV’s Today at Home, Discovery Channel’s Home Matters, Sirius Radio’s Martha Stewart Living, and Garden Life Radio. He also consults with Velcro USA and Gardener’s Supply Company. Charlies leads international garden tours to Italy, France, Cuba, and Great Britain.
